steep rising majestic volcanos to sleepy little fishing villages. Located in the middle of the Atlantic, at the
meeting place of the European, American and African tectonic plates, the Azores
archipelago is made up of nine islands, gathered into three distinct groups. The
Eastern Group, formed by the islands of Sao Miguel and Santa Maria. The Central
Group, made up of the islands of Faial, Pico, Sao Jorge, Terceira and Graciosa.
And lastly the Western Group of Flores and Corvo

Azores Charters
Three of the islands; Graciosa, Flores and Corvo have been
designated as biospheres by UNESCO, the archipelago also contains
thirteen important wetland sites and over thirty Blue Flag beaches
This is a world of fumaroles, mudpots and scalding springs; of
caverns, columns and grottoes formed from once molten rock; of blue
lakes ringed by forests of laurel and cedar, and green pastures
patterning the slopes of volcanic craters Horta Harbour and Marina [Click on the pic for more images of

The advisable sailing window in the Azores is from late March to
October. The islands have great climatic conditions, with mild
temperatures, due to the influence of the Gulf Stream. The winter
average is 13C rising to 23C in summer. Water temperature remains
between 18C and 24C
On a one week charter you will probably sail between the islands
of the Central Group; Faial, Sao Jorge, Pico, Terceira and Graciosa
A two week charter enables you to sail between the islands of
the Central Group and another group of islands. Either those to the
east; Sao Miguel and Santa Maria. Or the west; Flores and Corvo
To explore the whole archipelago, all three island groups, we
suggest a three week charter
