Balearic Islands Charters
The Balearic Islands are among one of the most popular charter
destinations in the Mediterranean Sea. Four main islands make up the
archipelago; Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza, and Formentera. Their long
history goes back to the ancient civilizations of Greece and
Phoenicia, and there are traces of human habitation going back
nearly 8,000 years

• Season •
The season runs from mid-April through to the end of October. The first three week of August can be considered peak season. There's a lot to be said for considering the "shoulder" season from mid-May to mid-June, and September through to mid-October. Why? It's very much cheaper. You will avoid the crush of high/peak season. The weather is still very pleasant and there is a better chance of wind and some great sailing
• Marine Wildlife •
Species that can be found in the Mediteranean Sea include; fin whales, sperm whales, grey sperm whales, pilot whales, Cuvier’s beaked whales, bottlenose dolphins, striped dolphins, common dolphins and loggerhead turtles
In the picture, clockwise from the top left; Common Dolphins, Mediterranean Monk Seal, Sperm Whale and last but not least a Loggerhead Turtle
• Mallorca •
Port d'Andratx [Click on the image to see more pictures of Mallorca]
This is a great cruising area renowned for its safe anchorages in
stunning bays. The island also has many marinas offering first class
facilities. Add a superb climate and it is easy to see why Mallorca
is one of the world’s most popular yacht charter destinations
You can easily sail around the island on a one week charter
visiting, for example; Palma de Mallorca, the Cabrera National Park,
Porto Petro, Cala Agulla, Pollenca, Soller and Andratx. It's also
possible to combine a visit to Ibiza or Menorca in a week. But to
explore the three islands properly you should consider a two or
three week charter

Cabrera National Park
A "must do" on your
Mallorca charter is the anchorage within the Cabrera National Park.
Cabrera is a five and a half hour sail form Palma so plan to stay
overnight.
Many species of seabirds can be seen and it's waters are home to various
types of cetaceans such as sperm, pilot, dolphins and fin whales.
Also seen ocasionally are humpback and orca whales and loggerhead
turtles.
A permit is required to visit Cabrera so
please advise us at time of booking if you want to visit so we can
arrange this for you. Due to the limited number of buoys
available, it's advisable to make your reservation as early as
possible
